Running the gamut of time period, sentiment, and subject matter, this collection epitomizes the homey, sitting-around-the-campfire kind of story one would expect from (arguably) one of Hollywood’s kindest personalities. Each story is endearing in its own fashion; each hold intricacies yet also soothing simplicity. Character development is clear– which is not shocking when considering the author’s prowess in that avenue. So many of these stories leave you with a hangover, desiring to know more about a character’s life, which is– in this reviewer’s opinion– a reputable quality. Favorites of this collection include ‘Welcome to Mars’ and the Hank Fiset series.
